Today started out with a simple task of mowing the lawn. Then the lawn mower didn't start and that stinks. My arm is so sore from pulling the damn cord a million times. My other lawn mower had dead batteries, yes I have two. Then while cleaning up the yard the fence hinges pulled out. I spent the better part of the day fixing that. Later, we went out looking at properties and while out decided to grab a cache. For this one Teri took many pictures so we will show what it's like geocaching with a toddler and our friend Josh.
First you must drive to the location of the cache and if it is close to the car determine who will stay in the car with TJ.
Then one of you gets out and starts looking.
When you can't find it check the GPS, the Hints and Logs.
Eventually, if you find it bring it back to the car.
At this point typically something gets dropped that was in the container. Today it was the magnet that held the cache to the post. It fell out and stuck to the car hood. This is not the first or second time a magnet cache has stuck to my car and scratched it. I am obviously not one of Pavlov's dogs.
Then you bring the cache to TJ so he can check it out. You have to look at it outside first to see if there are things inside you don't want him to try and put in his mouth.
Then he gets mad because he doesn't want to put it back.
You must let him put it all back together himself so he is happy!
Then you can put it back
and go back to the car exchanging high fives. That is geocaching with a toddler and our friend Josh.
