After work I decided to travel down into south sacramento after new caches. I was fully aware that two geocachers are dominate in this area for FTF's The first one was over a water return. When I arrived at the first one I found the cache and discovered my thoughts were correct and I was second.
This one was easy to grab but hard to return. Many people walked up as I attempted to return the cache. Eventually the coast was clear and I got it back.
Without hesitation I went to find the other one that was only a mile away. What the heck I don't get down here very often. This one was along the delta. After locating the second cache discoved that I again was second and inked my name. During this find I could hear boaters just seconds from the cache location.
Coming in second is not all for nothing. There is a challenge cache in Sacramento that pays homage for those that went for it anyways on the day someone else found it.
