Weekend Away!

Friday began with me trying to prepare for a trip to the bay.  After getting almost ready I decided to go and grab a cache.  I tried three times unsuccessfully only to find a cache, guess fourth time is the charm. The cache that I finally retrieved was located at the entrance sign to the North Highlands.  This was interesting because I didn't realize that the area had such an entrance. After DNFing three times I did not attempt another this day.
When I go to Hayward I set up notifications for new caches and the next morning one was posted. I grabbed my father and headed out to the Hayward water tank.
The cache was easily found with a very clean log and and FTF was achieved.  We also attempted another cache that day. It was in a hiking area and we did not have appropriate shoes so we abandoned the search.
After a wonderful night at a great friends wedding, we grabbed a cache in the morning at the Sulfur Creek Nature Center. When I was young I attended Camp Tenderfoot here and had a friend that lived on the property. It was fun to walk down the road, I remembered it much bigger than it was.  We found the cache and inked our names and headed to an A's game. After the game I headed home and grabbed a cache in Vacaville. I stopped only to drop a coin that I had been carrying for quite a while. In the end it was a whirlwind weekend that I need a weekend of rest from!
