199 Finds and counting

Had some time before running to get TJ so took a longer route their through the new Natomas area.  First up was a cache in a tiny park on a main road. It was the Alfalfa part of the Our Gang series.  I now have collected the Alfalfa and Buckwheat.  While at this cache the local high school was released and I was given the stink eye from a group of locals. I think it may have been because where I was standing looked like I was peeing on the tree.  I was NOT peeing on the tree.

From here I went to another large park and found the psychedelic tree. This one took longer than it should have because I was trying not to get wet. It was also the smallest cache that I have seen.
After that was the first in the SNS Spencer was here series. He is responsible for a large amount of the caches in my area. It was a simple one that soaked the bottom of my jeans from trekking in the high grass.

At this point I started to believe that I could get to 200 caches today. I quickly grabbed a parking lot cache at the Kohls. This one was tricky because they mounted a magnet inside the lid. As you raised the lid the cache went with it.  It took two looks and I forgot to take pictures.

For 199, TJ came along and we grabbed a good one that was full of toys. He swapped a toy compass for the springy green thing in his hand.

While at the psychedelic tree I attempted my first EarthCache. An EarthCache is a special place that people can visit to learn about a unique geoscience feature or aspect of our Earth. EarthCaches include a set of educational notes and the details about where to find the location (latitude and longitude). Visitors to EarthCaches can see how our planet has been shaped by geological processes, how we manage the resources and how scientists gather evidence to learn about the Earth. I will try to figure out how to post it for 200!
