Monday came and so did a cache on the way to work. This morning I went to a cache and was unable to find it. When I checked the log it seems to have been stolen. After having that happen multiple times you would think that I would always check the log prior to arrival. It must be something about the excitement of the hunt that makes me forget. I quickly went down the road to the next cache and made the find. It was a hanger cache behind a building with no one in the parking lot. I had all day to find it and re hide the container. I took a pic for any non geocaching readers of the container so you could see what a hanger might look like.
After work when getting off the freeway, at home, three new caches were posted. I quickly went for the one closest to my house and furthest away from other geocachers that go for the FTFs. Tj and I made the find and inked the FTF. Yea, I signed on two lines, I was excited to get the first time find.
Then we decided to go for the other one that was close to the house. This one was closer to the homes of some of my fellow geocaching friends that always go for the ftf. I made a wrong turn on the way there and when I eventually arrived at the parking lot I passed a security guard that was hustling to the cache location. I made it to the cache at the moment I stopped Rattrap3 made the find. He let me know that I arrived in time and he credited me with a co-ftf with him and his wife. All-n-all it was a great night for geocaching, even though I was falling asleep all day due to my sleep deprived weekend. Time for more sleep.
