I then went up to Tahoe and didn't think about geocaching until Saturday morning. All of the people with kids that woke up early went to breakfast and I grabbed a cache on that trip. It was the first cache in another state...Nevada.
Due to the intense activities of the night before we all decided to go hiking before another night of bachelor partying. This was great because in every where you looked was another cache and they were larger ones hidden in the forest. Only one other person of 14 had geocached before. When we first arrived at the hike location we had to wait for another car load so I took a few of the guys and grabbed a cache just seconds from where we were.
Along the hike we saw some awesome things, like this fallen tree.
At the very first location to rest was another cache. I took this picture sideways so I cannot straighten it. Most of the group was amazed at the size of the ammo containers hidden in a place that three of the guys frequent regularly.
We passed through some amazing areas and beautiful mountain and streams.
At the lake I found a Benchmark.
This is the bachelor and the walking stick that his brother found. It is also the location of the last cache of the hike.
It was a great way to introduce people to geocaching since the caches were easy to find and big.
Today I grabbed a cache at the airport when I dropped off my friend. In this container was a geocoin from Nevada...what are the odds. It was a fun weekend that included more geocaching, I will definitely have to get back up there for more.
