On Monday I had my first geo misfortune. I went to a cache found it and upon returning it to its location, dropped it into an abyss. I had no tools to retrieve it so I went home. I wasn't sure what the protocol was in this situation. On the way home I grabbed another cache just in case, it is one by a golfing place with one ride. At home I constructed a tool and made a magnetic container just in case. When I returned to the cache location I realized I would not be able to get the container as I was pushing it further away and out of sight. With my head low, I replaced the container and log with mine and typed an apology to the cache owners. They did not respond so I am unsure if what I did was the correct procedure.
Tuesday came and the family returned from vacation. We went to dinner and then geocaching. It was getting late and we DNFed an easy one then drove to another location. This one was easy to find but when I was to return it the sprinklers turned on and soaked my pants. I drove home with very wet pants.
